Earlier in our trip, we drove right by a lovely place called Sheaves Cove without even stopping to take a look. Many folks we met said we simply had to go back and check out the Hidden Falls. So we did.
Camping right at the beach at Sheaves Cove is free, though there are no facilities. One of the residents comes down daily to check on the campers, makes sure everyone signs his guest book, and moves the picnic tables around so you have the best spot. Sheaves Cove is pretty small, with a population of about 60, so I imagine ‘Junior’ - as he introduced himself - was pretty happy to have other company. And we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him.
